Effective Partnerships with Parents (EPPa) Engaging with parents and the local community in all kinds of schools. EPPa is a strategy: • to help you to engage more successfully with parents and the local community • that will build on the work you do with parents • that can be used equally effectively in infant, primary and secondary schools • that has been extensively piloted over several years in rural and urban schools with DfES/LSC funding • that is flexible and is not prescriptive, that fits with local agendas • that is centred on delivering projects arising out of local need • that is parent/community led and doesn’t require too much head/teacher time • that is supported by a wealth of materials Contents include: • Step-by-step guidance about setting up and running EPPa • A volunteer policy and handbook • Questionnaires and audit forms, ideal for Ofsted/SEF requirements • Case studies • Advice about where and how to secure funding for projects • Tips and strategies for engaging more parents • Sample letters and a host of model documents to adapt or adopt • PowerPoint presentations • An optional Award £37.50 + £2.50 postage For more information: Please click here |
