Plays for Assembly and PSE: Choices and Feelings
Ages 7 – 11

Following the outstanding success of the series ‘Stories for Assembly and PSE’, some of the stories have been rewritten as short plays for children to read or perform. Each photocopiable book contains five short plays and teacher’s notes, providing ideas for follow-up discussion and activities. Guidance is given about the reading ability required for each character in the plays. The plays are written so that children of different reading abilities can take part.

Working Out & About

Working Out and About is an interactive CD Rom providing six curriculum-based projects for Key Stage 2. This pack will help teachers to develop their existing teaching to include the use of the school grounds. The projects offer opportunities to do ICT work with other curriculum areas both inside and outside the clssroom.

Initial work at the computer leads to work outside in the school grounds, and further work at the computer. The projects are based on literacy, numeracy, PSHE and other curriculum areas. To support the projects are a range of materials and worksheets that can be printed out as Word documents and can be adapted to suit the needs of a class or group. Comprehensive teacher’s pages give information, support and additional ideas to extend the activities.
